Numbers: Chapter 11

Numbers is the book about being in the wilderness. As such it has much to say to us, in our own way, as Alasdair MacIntyre argued, a wilderness generation. We can read Numbers 11, for example, very much in terms of the spiritual problems of a culture of contentment.
