Balthasar from a Parish Perspective

John Barnett

Research Associate, The Queen's Foundation, Birmingham

Balthasar's trilogy, The Glory of the Lord, Theo-Drama and Theo-Logic, challenges pastors to recognize and discuss everyday beauty, to let Jesus's beauty shine out, to be generous and imaginative about the vocations and beliefs of other Christians, and to be optimistic about harmony between individuals and church structures.

Key Words: Balthasar • beauty • drama • Being • pastoralia • apologetics • vocations
