It argues that regeneration must always be `with people in mind' and that the prime purpose of regeneration is to promote human flourishing. The Bible's emphasis on `life in all its fullness' and Layard's work on happiness challenge regeneration practitioners to be explicit about who regeneration is for and what they are trying to achieve.
